Graduate Student Support

Funding is competitive and based on a 12-month stipend of $21,000 and includes individual health insurance guaranteed for up to 5 years, pending satisfactory progress as determined by IA faculty. After the first year, all students receiving departmental support will be required to serve as teaching assistants for departmental courses for at least two semesters per year.

Each applicant is strongly encouraged to apply for the prestigious MU Life Sciences fellowship and extramural sources of predoctoral support. Examples are:
